Nudge 31

“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”
Psalm 23:1
This Psalm was written by David. David the shepherd boy. If anyone knows what it means to be a shepherd, it’s David. He calls the Lord is his shepherd. According to Dictionary.com a shepherd is the following:
“A person who herds, tends, and guards sheep. A person who protects, guides, or watches over a person or group of people.”
“To tend or guard as a shepherd: to watch over carefully.”

Our Lord is our Shepherd. He watches over us. He protects us, guards us, and guides us. He doesn’t sit up on a cloud and take naps. He is actively loving us. HE IS ACTIVELY LOVING US.

“I shall not want.”
He takes care of all my needs. He provides for me from the air I breathe to the food I eat. He provides my job, my health, and my rest at night. There is nothing I desire outside of my Father.
“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”
