Nudge 54

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Psalm 32:8

It’s amazing to me that we have the all-knowing God of the universe as our loving Father. I can’t wrap my mind around this. He knows all. He is all-powerful, yet loves me. He cares about the little detail in my life. He KNOWS me…and yet He delights in me still. Absolutely amazing. So, if anyone knows the big picture, it’s obviously our God. He is willing to instruct and guide us in our everyday decisions as we wander through life. He is eager to advise and counsel, to lovingly prod us in the right direction. And if we go our own way? He, with grace and mercy that only He has, he directs us back into His loving arms and guides us in the right direction. He doesn’t just set us all up on the starting line and says, “Go!” He doesn’t abandon us to figure it out on our own. He is present. He abides with us. He is there in the thick of it.
We, of course, have to do our part. We have to seek Him and His counsel. We have to obey His commands and commit our ways to Him. We constantly need to be reminded (Okay, maybe it’s just me…I won’t speak for all of us) to listen for His voice and follow Him. But, why in the world would we want to be anywhere except with Him on this crazy journey called life? Why do we wander? Sure, it’s our sinful nature, it’s our ignorance. But, how can we lose focus so easily? I’m praying that you can keep your focus on Almighty God. Don’t lose direction. Seek His wisdom and guidance. Life is too short to live far away from our God.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Psalm 32:8
